Privacy policy

In short: Doodle Doggo has no ads and no tracking. If you make an account, we keep your email, a scrambled version of your password and your game save, and nothing else.
What we collect
- If you play as a guest: your game is saved in your browser, on your device. We never see it. If you are online, a guest copy is also kept with the login service so it isn't lost, with no email or name attached.
- If you make an account, we store:
- your email address, so you can log in. We only ever email you when you ask for a 6-digit code to reset your password (Forgot your password? in the game).
- a hashed password. A hash is a scrambled version of your password that can't be turned back into the password. We can't read your password, and nobody else can either.
- your game save, so you can play the same game on any device.
- the dates of your account and your latest save.
We don't collect your name, your age, your location, your contacts or anything else.
What we don't do
- No ads.
- No tracking, no analytics and no cookies. This website loads nothing from anyone else.
- We never sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
- No newsletters. The only email is the 6-digit password reset code you ask for.
Where it is kept
Account data and saves are stored with Cloudflare, who run the login service. Password emails are sent through Resend, who handle only that one email. Both keep the data only to do that job. You play on itch.io, and the game runs in your browser. itch.io has its own privacy policy for its own site.
Children
Doodle Doggo is a gentle game for everyone. If you are young, please ask a grown-up before making an account. You never need an account: guest play is complete.
Your choices
- Play as a guest at any time, with no account.
- Export a save code in Settings whenever you like, to keep your own copy.
- Delete your account and everything we hold: write to contact@doodledoggo.app from the email address you signed up with, and say you want your account deleted. We delete the account, the password hash and the saves, and tell you when it is done. This doesn't remove a save code you exported or the guest save on your own device. You can clear those yourself.
- Ask what we hold about you in the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will put the new date at the top and a short note on the game's page.
